It seizes attention in what you could call fuck size chunks. I want to try writing about my life in this way. I've lived through times of amazing change in sexual relationships, born into the uptight fifties, growing up in the Swinging then hippyish Sixties, deeply involved in the politics of the feminist seventies as member of various men against sexism groups, aware also that Thatcherism and rampant consumerism had brought back all the accoutrements of Victorian erotica, involved in an open relationship which over time closed again, or rather existed in a period when communal dreams of morally superior sexual freedon were replaced by the culture we still seem to live in, where we're all supposed to be monogamous and married while bombarding ourselves with stories of delicious infidelity.

And this is where I feel we've ended up now, with what is either the best or the worst combination of traditional values and toleration for what's seen as laxness.

Meanwhile the web makes it easy for us each to have multiple personalities, to make imaginary sex acts with strangers on the other side of the planet, to dip into websites devoted to every kink going, to enter a previously unimaginable zone between fantasy and reality through digital spaces like Second Life where the question of what is or isn't infidelity is a hot topic of debate. But there are few models for ways to lead more truly liberated lives.

I don't know where all this leads, but I'm not aware of places where these issues are discussed properly, on line or off, and I'd like to create one and see what happens.

This sexploration is anonymous and I'm not going to publicise its existence, but push it tentatively out into cyberspace and see what happens. I want space to write here about stuff I wouldn't easily be able to share with others and might not want to be publicly associated with, I want to feel free to invent and exaggerate too, but I want it to be true to me.
